Profile
Journalist, writer, and publisher, Nathaniel F. Akhigbe is an alumnus of Nigeria’s premium journalism school, the Nigerian Institute of Journalism (NIJ), Lagos, Nigeria. His published articles in newspapers, magazines, and online mediums including The Sahara Reporters in the last decade count in thousands.
As an employee, he has experience reporting beats such as labour, politics, metro, crime, and investigative reporting, with now-defunct NEXT NEWSPAPER/234NEXT from where he cut his teeth as a reporter and BUSINESSDAY NEWSPAPER, West Africa’s leading business tabloid, where he was a pioneering member of the paper’s Sunday edition, BD SUNDAY until he resigned his appointment in late 2017 as a Senior Correspondent.
A global thinker, he is a PAN Africanist who is driven by an acute desire to make Africa a prosperous continent through agriculture and to use his talents to make jobs available for the continent’s teeming youths. To this end, he left his last employment to pioneer a media organisation. He currently serves as MD/CEO of Africa Agriculture Agenda (AAA), a subsidiary of The Surveillance Media Limited (TSML), a company he founded that was incorporated in 2018.
A life and career coach, he is a strong advocate for a God-purpose-
driven life as the only recipe for a truly satisfying living.
He’s among the very few privileged Christian professionals who can say with a date, when and how God called them into their respective profession. A mobilizer, an encourager, and a team player, faithlessness cannot survive in his presence. He is a learner who is mentoring several people within and outside the media arena, including politics. He is the author of God’s Diamond Called Woman; 7 Reasons You Are Unmarred and When The Womb Is Closed, among others. He’s married with a family.
